Clemency is an original oil painting on canvas, one of my latest series, 10″ x 14″, painted in the midst of the global pandemic 2020. To me, Clemency really does what it says on the tin. An old tree, there firm footed for so long, bothered by the creepers but always standing, making its mark. Calm and strength to me dominate this painting.
Again, using full texture and contrast of free knife strokes and bright colors for the drama of the Irish landscape.
